Evaluating the 2020 Edition of 2 Series Sedan Models from BMW

For any BMW car buyer, it will be a usual approach to seek a model that represents the brand’s originality in every sense. BMW models have always been known for achieving a perfection in making luxury cars that come with a heavenly finished body. But what intrigues the buyers more is the level of driving involvement they create.

The recently released 2020 version of the 2-series sedan, coupe and convertible models thus already raised a lot of curiosity among the buyers while the critics got busy evaluating the model from every possible angle. That’s the reason why we met a group of critics at one of the showrooms of the San Luis Obispo car dealerships, where they shared us their insights about this luxury sedan series from BMW.

Changes Done for 2020

BMW has blessed the 2-series models a styling refreshment for the year 2020. The changes include the addition of a pair of darkened taillights, the front grille frame painted either in black or gray, update in the wheel designs, and listing of new black accentuated exterior mirror caps as an available feature option. To make the 2 series ready for the wet season, the automaker has standardized the feature of rain-sensing windshield wipers across the entire lineup range.

Other enhancements include a Long Beach Blue exterior paint color added on the M240i model, replacing the earlier Melbourne Red metallic and Sparkling Brown colors from the exterior paint color palette.

Engine Performance

The 2020 year lineup of the BMW 2-series includes two engine options. The engine lineup is accompanied by a manual transmission and an eight-speed automatic one that earned hearty accolades from the passionate drivers around the world.

The 230i trim models of the 2 series get a 248-hp making four-cylinder turbocharged engine that achieved a responsive performance record. The M240i trims on the other hand gets a lightning-speedy move derived from a 3.0-liter inline-six cylinder turbocharged one that can raise a seed of 60 mph in 4.3 seconds.

Handling Expertise

When the frontal logo of a car reads BMW, we need to take the driving dynamics seriously. This time the 2020 editions of  2-series model gathers more composure on the road and gets to handle itself better than ever before. The credit must go to the fast and accurately responsive steering that compliments the effects of a solid and capable chassis. A firmly controlled suspension works relentlessly towards soaking up all the road impurities denying any access of jerk to the cabin. Above that the automaker made good use of an adaptive suspension that is prepared with adjustable shocks to make all the rides creamy smooth in the M240i models while the grippy summer tires, enhanced the handling capability of the 2 series models in the hottest days.

There are too many number of expansion joints, to make the 2 series vehicles rock the show. All our known BMW car dealers near San Luis Obispo who are advertising on the 2020 BMW 2 series as their main attraction of the inventory shared how the customers who took test drive with this model appreciated the rides with every 2020 2 series model.
