Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS

2019 Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS gets a larger grille, but comes with a different honeycomb pattern, unlike the 3D effect on the regular Baleno facelift. The chrome slat and the headlamp design remain identical, however, the bumper is all new, featuring bolder lines, a larger central airdam, and new foglamps. The updated Baleno RS also retains its silver bumper lip and side skirts from the pre-facelift model, while among the new bits, the car now gets the new precision cut alloy wheels introduced with the facelifted Baleno.

The cabin of the updates Baleno RS hasn’t been revealed it, however, similar to the pre-facelift models, the interior will be similar to the regular Baleno’s design but expect an all-black treatment. On the features front, the new Baleno RS will come with remote keyless entry with start-stop ignition button, electrically operable ORVMs, auto climate control, follow me home/lead me to vehicle headlamps, and more. The Baleno RS also gets the new SmartPlay Studio infotainment system that was introduced with the new-gen Wagon R. The system can connect with three smartphones simultaneously and is equipped with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and navigation among others.

Powering the 2019 Baleno RS facelift is the same 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that makes close to 100 bhp and 150 Nm of peak torque. The motor continues to come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, with no automatic transmission on offer.

Mahindra Alturas G4

The Mahindra Alturas G4 is the newest flagship SUV from the Indian automaker and features a seven seater layout with three rows. The Mahindra Alturas G4 takes on the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, the Honda CR-V, the Ford Endeavour and the Hyundai Santa Fe amongst others. The new Mahindra Alturas G4 features a 2.2-litre diesel engine and will be launched on November 24, 2018. Bookings for the Mahindra Alturas G4 have already begin at dealerships at Rs.50,000. The deliveries for the Mahindra Alturas G4 will start in late November post the launch of the new SUV. The price of the Mahindra Alturas G4 will be between Rs 20-25 lakh making it the most expensive car Mahindra has ever launched in India.

The Mahindra Alturas G4 is essentially the SsangyongRexton with a Mahindra badge on it and has been heavily reworked as compared to the last generation version. The SUV was originally known as the Y400 internally and was rumoured to be called the Mahindra XUV 700 until Mahindra officially announced the Alturas G4 name a few weeks ago. The Mahindra Alturas G4 will come with LED headlamps and LED daytime running lights, large alloy wheels and a sun roof. The Mahindra Alturas G4 will get an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Mahindra Alturas G4 is also said to get nine airbags on the top of the line version and will most likely be a NCAP 5 Star rated product in India.

The Mahindra Alturas G4 will get a 2.2-litre diesel engine that will make 183 bhp of peak power. There will be no manual transmission on offer and the Mahindra Alturas G4 will only get an automatic variant with either two wheel drive or four wheel drive. The new Mahindra Alturas G4 will also be offered in four colours, New Pearl White, Napoli Black, Lakeside Brown, and Dsat Silver – All of which will be available on both the two wheel drive or four wheel drive version.

The all-new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga 2018 has been launched in India with prices starting at Rs. 7.44 lakh. The new Ertiga will be available with a petrol and a diesel engine and while the petrol will get both an automatic and a manual gearbox, the diesel will only get a 5-speed manual option. The all-new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is a seven seat MPV or multi-purpose vehicle and is now in its second generation in India. The new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga gets an all new design language and is based on the all-new Heartect platform. The new Ertiga now gets headlamps with projector lens along with a set of boomerang shaped LED tail lamps that look very Volvo inspired. The new Ertiga continues to get 15-inch alloy wheels on the top spec models while 15-inch steel wheels with or without wheelcaps will continue on the lower VXI and LXI trims respectively.

The new Ertiga is longer and wider, which means that there is more space in the interior for passengers and for luggage too. The new Ertiga packs more features with the likes of a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto being offered on the top spec models. The new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will have roof mounted AC vents for the third row and also get wooden inserts on the dashboard and steering wheel for a more premium looking interior as compared to the first gen model. The MPV offers a boot capacity of 209 litres, which can be expanded to 809 litres with the second third row folded.

The 1.3-litre DDIS 200 engine makes 89 bhp of peak power and 200 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The petrol engine on the new Ertiga is all new, a 1.5-litre K15 motor that is also available on the Ciaz. The engine makes 103 bhp of peak power and 138 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. Both the petrol and the diesel Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will also get the SHVS mild hybrid systems. Fuel Economy for the new Ertiga Petrol is 19.34 kmpl on the petrol manual and 18.69 kmpl on the petrol automatic, and on the diesel is 25.47 kmpl.
